In 1979 the power of thoughts was tested by the aging process of humans. Seniors between the ages of 70 and 80 took part in a one-week experiment. They were not told that this was going to be an experiment about aging.
The seniors were divided into two groups. Both groups should travel 20 years into the past.
The first group should imagine being in 1959. The other group, on the other hand, behaved completely like this. They watched films, listened to the corresponding music and discussed current topics from that time – in the present tense.

In 1993, a group of 4,000 people volunteered to meditate for less crime in Washington D.C.

If you’re still asking you questions like “Does the law of attraction really work?” you know you have some doubts about it. It usually helps to observe everyday situations to get over these. Search for the LOA in everyday life and internalize its effects with the simplest examples.
Step 1: Set Yourself a Target
No matter if you want to stop smoking, get out of bed faster in the morning or if you want to find the love of your life: The law of attraction, like most of the laws, begins with the objective.
You must be fully aware of what you want to achieve with the law of attraction. What do you want to attract and what signals do you have to send out? Only when you have defined your goals you can answer these two questions.
So take your time for this step and don’t rush into anything.

Do not be demotivated if you cannot necessarily perceive your goal with all 5 senses. That doesn’t necessarily mean that your goal isn’t well defined.
To give you an example: It can be difficult to realize the dream of a new house with your sense of taste. In this case, do not think of the house and how it might taste, but think of breakfast together with your partner and your family in the new house.
It is also important that you do not focus only on the goal itself. Think also of the aftermath. You want to change something in your life. What will happen with this change? What will the consequences be? You have to let all these things go through your mind and think through them in peace before you can internalize your goal.
Most people are afraid of uncertainty. That’s why it is important that you take away the panic by thinking about the effects of the projected changes. It also makes your goal more tangible and sharpens the vision of it.
Prepare your mind and body for this change. Internalize and visualize your goal, since your mind does not distinguish between reality and imagination. Whether real or not, it will prepare your body for the upcoming change and thus start sending positive signals to your environment.
Step 2: Love Yourself!
Simply said: If you don’t believe in something, you won’t get it.

How can you attract things when you send positive signals today and negative signals tomorrow? So you have to be in harmony with yourself to get a certain consistency in the signals you send.
When you love yourself, you open up to your greatest wishes and desires. You will start to only want the things that are best for yourself.
Step 3: Be Open to New Opportunities
In step 2, you have learned how to address and love your fears and self-doubts. After you have manifested in your mind that self-confidence and love are the way to your actual goal, we want to talk about actual ways to eliminate your self-doubt in the next step.
It is really important, however, that you have gone through steps 1 and 2 to ensure that the process works properly. You can’t get clear of your self-doubt if you’re not aware of it.
Once you find yourself in an uncomfortable situation that has a negative outcome for you, you always have the choice. Do you want to go the easy path and surrender to the negative thoughts or do you want to become active?
What is now meant by becoming active? If you drift into negativity after such an event, you let yourself be controlled by your environment. However, as you have already learned, we are all in a close connection with our environment and can control it as well as it can control us.
Negative thoughts won’t get you anywhere. They don’t change anything about the event, it will cause quite the opposite. It consumes unnecessary energy that you could spend on potential solutions to make such events a thing of the past.
For example, if you lose your wallet, you can get upset for hours and tell all your friends about how you lost it. That would be the way to negativity. You may also become active, notify the police, have your bank card blocked and try to remember how you lost it to prevent yourself from losing it again. The negative energy and excitement won’t get your wallet back.
What does this have to do with the law on attraction? Quite simply: your attitude, feelings and thoughts are taken up by your environment and the answer will be accordingly. The signals you send out are also returned to you in response.

This step is extremely important to send the right signals to your environment. Like attracts like. In order to attract your desires and goals, you have to behave like that, because deeds speak louder than words.
You will send a clear message to your surroundings and show full conviction that you really want it from deep inside your heart. That’s the strongest signal you can send.
Let’s take Jim Carrey as an example. At the beginning of his acting career he was very poor and a person with a humble background. He has successfully used the law of attraction to motivate himself and is now a Hollywood star.
He would drive every night along the world-famous Mulholland drive, one of the many wealthy districts in Santa Monica, California. He imagined that he was part of it. He also wrote himself a check for $10 million he can cash in three years.
It is also important to understand that these things will not come on their own. So it is not enough to just wish something desperately and then be disappointed when nothing happens. The LOA is part of a mindset that should help you to motivate yourself and feel good. It won’t do the real work for you, it will just make it easier.
The law does not work without simultaneous work that you have to put into your ideas, dreams and goals. Of course, Jim Carrey didn’t just write the check, he also worked for it very hard.

Vision boards are a great technique to visualize goals. They make your dreams almost tangible. With a vision board, you can present all kinds of things. Whether visions, dreams, goals or plans. It’s is a good tool for planning and motivation, is very easy and fast to create, and the effect is enormous. Just give it a try!
Creative visualization is a technique, designed to help you sharpen your imagination a little. This exercise is especially good for you if you have problems with step 1: Set yourself a target
Take an apple or some candy you like to eat. Hold the apple in your hand and close your eyes. Focus on what you’re feeling. Feel the round shape of the apple and its smooth surface. Let it slide gently through your hand. Always keep your mind focused on the sense of touch. Then put the apple out of your hand.
Then try to remember what the apple felt like.
Repeat this step for the remaining senses:
- The sense of taste: Remember how it tastes
- The sense of hearing: Remember what it sounds like (drop it on the floor or roll it over the table)
- The sense of smell: Remember how it smells
